‘Koesterhout’ is a series of objects made from found pieces of wood from Amsterdam. While large areas of existing green space are gaining additional functions for leisure, socialising, sports or play, other greenery in the city is under pressure from increased 'petrification' by buildings and infrastructure because space in the city is scarce. During my trips through Amsterdam I take leftover branches from felled trees and shrubs, like a relic of what once was. Wood that is lovelessly sawn, shredded and forgotten.
